  • I am Slappy’s Evil Twin

Another novel from SlappyWorld. This is a fun fast read. I love how the author does the pacing in these books. They are quick and to the point. This one is a little explosive but if you’re a fan, I would recommend continuing with this series.

  • Gregor and the Marks is Secret

Plunging back into the underworld we follow Gregor the warrior as he battles his way through another prophecy. Only no one wants to tell him what this one is. Lots of familiar faces return both good and bad. If you’ve followed the adventure up to this point then this one will be very familiar and…

  • Attack of the Jack

This is part of the SlappysWorld spin off from Goosebumps. A small quick read and a fun pirate adventure. Slappy does some commentary but does not appear in the actual novel. If you’re a Goosebumps fan then read on and enjoy.

  • A Whole New World

This is an alternate history of Disney’s Aladdin story. It broaches the question of Aladdin never getting the lamp. It focuses more on the “street rat” angle of the story. It is darker but still manages a happy ending. Be warned there are killings and torture talked about but neither in great detail. I would…

  • The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I must confess I never saw the movie so I have not idea how it compares. First warning this is what I would consider either high PG-13 or R. Leaning mostly toward an R rating. This book is very slow at the first and I almost quit several times but it was recommended to me…

  • Trials of Death

Must better escalation, but still leaves you without a big payoff. This story is reminiscent of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, with a strange vampire twist. Excellently done and kept the pages turning. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

  • Vampire Mountain

The next installment of the vampire series. This one is a two parter, be aware and set to read the next book as it ends in a “to be continued”. It is still a great read. Fasted paced and filled with the wonders of the vampire world this book is mainly focused on the trip…

  • Max and the Midnights

Middle grade book and a short read. This would be great for child around 11 years old. The main character is a girl who is setting out to be a knight. All around wholesome and fun. Great recommend for that young reader.

  • Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods

Here is book 3 in the series. A very fun read but there was still parts I would have liked to have seen done just a little differently. Of the three books I think this one is the closest aligned to the Hunger Games trilogy.

  • Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane

A good middle grade / younger adult novel. Gregor returns to the underworld because of another prophecy. A lot of our old friends return but most fade into the background. I think she should have done more with Raging, but a fun adventure book that is sure to entertain.
