This is the first book in the series and it really reaches out and grabs you. Great characters, crazy stakes, cheating worlders, and a wonderful remark in pay-to-win. Overall a great concept. With the references you could say it is a twisted Pokémon. So far this has come really new cool aspects of system appearing. Overall, a heart-racing ride right to the end. Excited to start book 2.
