Book 1 of the Sanctuary series. Starting off, this was a well written novel and in the title it states that it is epic fantasy. So any criticism I would have would be because I really do not enjoy epic fantasy. That said, if you like authors like David Eddings you will enjoy this series. This is high fantasy and very much about the world and characters and it is rich and full and follows along a DND magic logic. To me, it will take me time and more to continue as I just have not found a love of this genera.
