Book 1 of the Ten Realms series. This intense series brings a military view to the LitRPG space. Lots of cool ways at looking at a magic system especially through the eyes of a combat medic. Normal I do not care for guns in fantasy novels but this was well done and fit in well with the universe. I like that they are planners and it has a neat balance between brutality and nurturing. Overall a fun read and looking forward to book 2. Warning: language may make it inappropriate for young or sensitive readers.
