This book is heavily based in Lean manufacturing principles but has a lot of real world examples and experiences. I enjoyed the insights into Tesla, as it was the prime example in the book. The other thing I loved was “eat your own dog food”. This concept isn’t original, I remember reading in a book in business school twenty plus years ago, “The customer gets the service that management deserves”. Albeit that none of the points made were original, they are still all grossly under utilized especially in large companies. I would recommend this book to a startup or small business as the Lean principles are sound and inefficiencies tend to abound. Even though they are in large companies, they have enough of the processes figured out to be profitable.
