Book 1 of the Daren’s Den series. This is an interesting kickoff to a series. I like the battles as they feel balanced. The progression is smooth and natural. His desire for progression does not feel forced. I like that we are following the same world logic as in other books, specifically his Tree Guardian series. Overall, a strong start and hopeful that the discovery part of the series will continue on just as strong.
