Book 3 of the Iron Tyrant series. This one is fast paced. WOW! We get to spend time with the barbarians. But not to worry, we also get to learn more about the Solomons and sorcery. We say goodbye to an old friend and see our share of battles, escapes, and losses. The twist in this one I did not think I’d like but actually found myself enjoying. Mateo really takes some cool next steps in this one although he always finds a way out of the really lopsided battles. I like that the series really does focus on the strategic side of things but sparing him diving into the worst of it.
