The Zookeeper’s Wife

This is a journey based account of Warsaw Poland during the Holocaust. It is very interesting but realize that it reads more like a history text than a novel. I do feel this gives a different perspective on what happened at that time and gives insights to the bravery / courage it took to resist the inexcusable atrocities that were happening. I loved the examples of how they hid in plain sight and the many risks that were taken daily to protect others. It is as much about compassion as it is about courage. I give this a strong recommend to anyone wanting a little more insight to that time.
