I have just finished the Wizard and Witch series by James Patterson. This is a 5 part novel, with a brother and sister out to save the world. There is nothing in the novel that I would preclude having my 12 year old read. Lots of fun magic and wonder, while dealing with deeper more serious subjects. Overall I enjoyed the series and gave it four stars.
