  • The Runesmith

Book 6 of Infinite Realm. This novel takes us into the conflict with Ra’Azel. This was an epic battle but doesn’t bring our adventure to an end. Lots of hints about the future of the series and what lies beyond this realm. We also get a deeper sense of the Oblivion, Time, and the Hunters…

  • The Mystery of the Stolen Dinosaur Bones

Book 139 of the Boxcar Children. This was an interesting read. The point is how one person’s actions, that they feel are justified can strongly effect other people. Crime committed, yes. Doing the wrong thing for what you think is the right reason? This is a good life lesson on repercussions and how a house…

  • The Mystery of the Grinning Gargoyle

Book 137 of The Boxcar Children. This one takes us to a college campus you have football, libraries, and some sightings of spooky gargoyles. A fun mystery and lots of suspects all with very believable motives. There are no truly scary parts so this would be appropriate for children of all ages.

  • Rogue Stike

Book 7 of the Troy Stark series. This thriller deals with a biological threat and deftly sets up for the next book. Somehow Troy fights through even with all the bullets and bad guys. Don’t get me wrong he isn’t fighting storm troopers and he takes his licks but well you do what you’ve got…

  • Murder Around the Corner, A Clueless Mystery

Two clueless detectives are called in to solve a murder and in the similitude of Jacques Clouseau or Inspector Gadget they bumble their way through. The twist later in the book lead us to a much deeper mystery and now four years later our detectives are not quite as bumbling as they unravel a decades…

  • Atomic Habits

This book is all about changing those good and those base habits. There are several methods outlined. My favorite was linking and I am already looking for places I could link good habits in my current routine. What I really liked also was removing the perceived benefits of bad habits. This one took a minute…

  • This Inevitable Ruin

Book 7 of Dungeon Crawler Carl. This is the crazy Faction Wars that have been talked about so far. Traps, bombs, and subterfuge aplenty. This book continues the crawl and we continue to see glimpses of more that is going on than just the crawl. This one is just about capturing the opponents castle while…

  • The Eye of the Bedlam Bride

Book 6 of Dungeon Crawler Carl. This one is a large game of Yu-Gi-Oh but in a much deadlier way. Between cards, the crazy sex doll head Samantha, and horrible diseases the action does not stop. This whole series continues to have that Hunger Games vibe. Strong enemies, ninja seals and crabs. What is not…

  • The Butcher’s Masquerade

Book5 of Dungeon Crawler Carl. Lots of death and destruction. Enemies galore, not just the normal mobs but also hunters. The sixth floor gets crazy and we say goodbye to some more of our favorite crawlers. A surprise twist in the epilogue. Overall a solid read. Warning: Adult situations and language.

  • The Gate of the Feral Gods

Book 4 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Your favorite boxer wearing, cat loving, bomb making maniac is at it again. In another bad to worse scenario. Overall, a strong addition to the series as we build on his already insane luck to get out of near death or sure death situations. And things go…
