Supernova
The final installment of Marissa Meyer’s superhero trilogy. I have enjoyed these novels. With a fun twist at the very end. It is a good star-crossed lovers story. The novels have good pacing and keep you wondering what will happen next. Definitely a recommend, even if you’re not the costume wearing ComicCon type.

As You Like It
I listened to the BBC Radio Collection of this William Shakespeare play. I rate the performance first rate and would recommend, if you’re looking for a transport to the prose of the great, giving a listen to one of these recordings as they are well produced.

Target Alex Cross
High body count on this one but no piano. If you want to enjoy a presidential coo and lots of assassins you’ll enjoy this installment of Alex Cross. Of course if you enjoy the Alex Cross series to the point that you get to book 27, then you’re familiar with the characters and can just…

How to write a novel using the snowflake method
Fun little book told in metaphor using Goldie Locks and various other well k own figures. If you’re struggling to write that novel that has been in your head for years but cannot get past that blank screen, this would be a great place to start. It is a book on how to outline a…

How to get what you want
This is a quick motivational that you can find on YouTube. It is well worth 1 hour of your time to look this up and watch it. I downloaded the book but checked and it appears there are several that you can just watch online. In such a brief segment Zig Ziglar packs in both…

Cirque de Freak – A Living Nightmare
This is a good read for those who enjoy the Goosebumps series. It is dark, but not so much that an early teen would have an issue. The author did a great job walking that line and this is an enjoyable read.

Detective Cross
This is one of James Patterson’s bookshot. That being said, this is Alex meets a non-serial killer. This book takes place during Alex’s suspension. If you’re following the series. As you know this is one of my guilty pleasures to snuggle in with. This does not disappoint, if you’re a fan. But it does focus…

Gretel and the Case of the Missing Frog Prints
This is a young reader. Gretel is a detective and is accompanied by her idiot (most of the book drunk) brother Hans. It is a fun little mystery, albeit there is a brothel and lots of drinking. I would place the book in young teens as far as entertainment value, but warn against the afore…

Jerry Seinfeld on Comedy
This is an unusual review as it is not a book per se. However, I would still highly recommend making it over to laugh.com and listening to this interview with Jerry Seinfeld. Even though you may not be an aspiring comic, a lot of the insights given I think are applicable to everyone. One of…

How to be a people magnet
This is a quick little read that I would call, “Being intentional with the people around you”. Albeit I am an old married man and did not need the dating advise, all the other information is a good “people skills” refresher. I have even committed myself to giving undivided attention to my spouse as outlined.…
