  • The Attack

Book 26 of Animorphs. This I will have to say was a favorite. Even though it has nothing to do with Earth or the main plot line. I enjoyed the story and theme on this one also it left you with a sense of hope. I recommend reading this one even though it is not…

  • Split The Party

This is the second book in the Spells, Swords, and Stealth series. I quite enjoyed this one as much as the last. My sentiment is still the same that I would love to see one of the RPGLit books that was language appropriate for the YA group. I love the concept of this book and…

  • The Mystery Cruise

Book 29 of The Boxcar Children. This was a good mystery that kept you guessing what was going on. Lots of suspects and plenty of intrigue. Still kept to the line that made it fun without being dark at all. Perfect for those young readers in your life.

  • The Mystery Girl

Book 28 of The Boxcar Children. This was a fun lighthearted mystery. It was a well paced story and the content was very suitable to very young readers. While some of the previous novels have been at least a little dark, this one is not at all and a perfect read for timid readers.

  • The Extreme

Book 25 of Animorphs. This was one of the few that actually felt like it was related to the overall plot. I liked it albeit I was surprised that a certain all powerful being did not step in at any point with an extinct species. Overall, I enjoyed the book and felt that the idea…

  • NPCs

This was another take on the RPGLit segment. I liked the voice and pacing. The idea was a fun one and should be interesting to see where the series goes from this point. At this point I am calling this one a suggested read. However due to language I do suggest a mature audience. Unfortunately,…

  • Crank Palace

This is a short work to give us a little insight into what happened to Newt when he left the rest. This was a great “aside” to one of the main characters and having it as a side story worked perfectly not to bog down the main Maze Runner plot line. I liked the work…

  • Faceoff

If you’re into the thriller genre, then this is a fun must read. An opportunity to see some of the best as they put their main characters together for a short story. The action is fast albeit due to the concise nature of short stories there are not many twists and turns. If, like me…

  • The Camp-Out Mystery

Book 27 of the Boxcar Children. I did enjoy this, however it is not my favorite of the recent ones it still is following the same structure and thus is far better than the earlier novels. What do you do when strange things begin happening in your campground? If you’re the Alden’s then you begin…

  • Dragon Curse

Unwanteds Quests book 4. This was very much a mid series book. Plenty of action but everything setting the stage for the big conclusion. To the overall series, I am not sure that this book really changes anything. We will have to wait for the end of the series to find out, but it really…
