Book 1 of the Five Kingdoms series. This was a fun kickoff to the series. Reminded me a little of the intro to the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon back in the day. Well, I guess a little darker but a fun twist. I like the magic system although it was keep to a minimum so that we really don’t know exactly how it works. But there is enough to understand that this Shaping thing can do amazing things. A fun read.
