This was a wonderful novel and despite the name not too scary for older YA readers. It is a coming of age book, a book dealing with loss and friendship. Has a bit of the supernatural sprinkled in that is well done. Overall there is a reason this is a Newberry award winning book and a reason why he is a multi award winning author. Another one well done.
