This is a book from John McPhee long time writer for the New Yorker among other things. It contains a lot of great information on just the process of writing. Tires is not a step by step or do this… type of book. More it is at a higher and at once a lower level. One of my favorite take aways was on writers block, wherein you start a letter Dear Mom and then describe what you’re trying to convey as it changes your mindset and will be one I’ll try. There were many others such as cutting down a piece without losing any information. All great skills.
