Book 4 (1) of Mistborn. This starts a new arc that is years in the future. First off are the characters. The main and supporting characters are great. I like the mix in the magic that has evolved over time. Secondary, this book while kicking off the next arc also could work as a standalone. Overall I liked this one and it felt less epic fantasy and almost more Sherlock Holmes. I appreciate the new direction and the references back to the previous series. Excited for book 2.
