Book 2 of the Mystborn series. This is epic fantasy and deepens the problems stated in the last novel. Armies and war and in the end betrayal. The twist at the end of this novel gives us a direction forward. I like the direction this one went and the thought of how we twist prophecies to meet what we believe. Overall a strong novel and lots of drama but it is epic fantasy so realized that it is a slow burn.
