Book 1 of the Mistborn series. An epic fantasy novel with a twist on the magic system. The plot is a fairly standard Hero’s Journey. Lots of comparisons could be drawn to Star Wars. Overall, strong characters and an engaging story makes this the well known classic that it is. This is very much epic fantasy and as such the story tends to move slow at parts but it’s a great imagining to the way Star Wars battles could have been in the classic movies. It is a good read.
