Book 1 of Artorisn’s Archive series. This one follows and elder who wants nothing more than to protect the young ones of the village. I love that we see the struggle of age. As he plans and works to overcome a myriad of obstacles to effect his rescue attempt and what it really costs him. This book dives deep into the chi style magic system and the various little intricacies that are involved. Although, the bulk of this book is focused on the magic system, it is kept interesting and works well to establish a good foundation. Excited to see what this series brings us.
