Book 1 of the A Student Wants to Live series. As with a lot of books in this genre, this feels written for the early college crowd. Overall, the writing is fine and there are plenty of discoveries and changes that allow the “game” world to feel huge. This novel is set in Russia, which makes sense for the writer. Overall, a strong beginning, but there are definite complexities with the branching out play styles that will be interesting to see how they are juggle moving forward. The adult content isn’t horrible, but there is definitely enough that I would recommend a mature audience. I did enjoy this one and will continue with the series.
