This Catcher in the Rye style book is aimed at the YA audience, but language and content would be a definite warning to younger/sensitive readers. This book “drops the f-bomb” nearly in place of the word “the”. That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but it definitely is written in such a way that leads you pity the decline of the English language. That said, it is raw and poignant. The only lacking is the emotion that even when that point hits is more about the narcissism of the POV character and nothing about true emotion. This was on a must read top 100 list for YA and yet it was not as great as others I have read. Overall, if you want to read teenage angst, enjoy.
