This standalone novel is based on a natural disaster in a fictitious island. It is so well done, you’ll think you’re in a pacific island. If you’ve read Discworld books, do not go into this one thinking it will be the same. This is more serious even though there are some funny parts. This is very historical fiction type feel to it. Overall I am a solid 4 stars on this as I did have a little bit of a hard time getting into it.
